I've just come from a press conference with environmental leaders and Governor O'Malley during which, I am very excited to report, Governor O'Malley formally issued his "strong, strong, strong support of the Global Warming Solutions Act!" Watch your local news tonight or read your newspaper tomorrow for coverage of this great event.

Governor O'Malley has pledged that he is going to work hard to ensure passage of this bill. This is a huge boost to our campaign and a tremendous show of leadership from our Governor. Read the Governor's press release here.

The Global Warming Solutions Act will create “green collar” jobs, help reduce long-term energy costs, and lead Maryland into a “Clean Energy Future”. Specifically, the bill would require Maryland to reduce its global warming pollution 25% by 2020 and 90% by 2050 as cost-effectively as possible.
