In AK, lawmakers want $1 billion for transportation

JUNEAU, ALASKA (2010-02-08) Some Southeast lawmakers want to create a billion-dollar endowment to pay for road, airport and ferry improvements. They say it’s the best way for Alaska to replace declining federal transportation funding.
