NY LCV: Policy Director
The New York League of Conservation Voters, a nonprofit, nonpartisan environmental political action organization, seeks a Policy Director to help develop and advocate for the organization’s priorities for New York State and New York City governments. The Policy Director will also work with our chapters in Long Island, New York City, Westchester and the Capital District to assist with the development of local priorities.
The Policy Director will direct the lobbying activities that take place in the state capitol and New York City Council and work with staff to develop on-line advocacy and educational programs.
This job will be based in the New York City office.
Salary:
Commenserate w/ Experience - Health/dental insurance, 401(k) and TransitChek
Additional Qualifications:
- 3 - 5 years experience of policy formulation, analysis and/or lobbying.
- Masters Degree preferred
- Excellent research, writing and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- A self-starter and team player
