Protocol:
ID Call Recommendations for Standard Use:
-
Use only Strong Phones, Restricted Strong Phones, and Restricted Medium Phones.
-
Unless you intend to conduct voter registration, target only active voters.
-
If you intend to use your list for civic engagement, you may wish to restrict the calling universe to people who have voted in the last two of four elections.
-
Be sure that your script asks for each respondent’s age and observes the gender, even if they are terminating the call before all questions have been asked, so that we can match the data to the voter file when reloading the data.
-
Target only active voters for whom the mailing address is not in a different state from the registration address.
Patch-thru call Recommendations for Standard Use:
-
Use only Strong Phones, Restricted Strong Phones, and Restricted Medium Phones.
-
Target only active voters for whom the mailing address is not in a different state from the registration address.
-
Attempt to restrict the calling universe to people 40 years or older who have voted in at least the last two of four elections.
-
If your targets differ from these universes, please contact your State Capacity Building Division Rep for guidance.
Fundraising Recommendations for Standard Use:
-
It is not recommended that one makes exclusive use of models for fundraising. Instead, it is recommended that True Green/ Green Screen or additional voter file/ commercial data be used to filter an existing known donor list.
-
Older, mail responsive households with incomes exceeding $60,000 annually are more likely to be donors.
-
Non-voters are less likely to be donors.
Sending Files for Upload:
- To upload and / or match a file into the system, there is one main rule: the more information, the better. Not all people on the uploaded list will “match” back to a person in the system. For best results, and to make sure that as many people on your list match back as possible, the file should include complete names, addresses, and phone numbers, as well as any personal data such as age and gender, if available.
